Ancient Monterano is an abandoned village situated near Canale Monterano. The deserted village is situated on the top of a tuff hill inside the natural park of Monterano, not so far from Bracciano's Lake and Rome (Lazio - Italy). The ruins of the ancient village, characterized by a great beauty and atmosphere, have been used as a set for many films.
